Reimagining Education

The quickest way to access school data

Finding accurate data on your school can be hard.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has hosts two great tools for tracking education data throughout the state of Missouri.

These tools provide parents with a quick, and easy, way to see how schools are performing and how much various staff at public and public charter schools are paid.

The first tool, the Interactive School Guide, allows users to find MAP scores, student-teacher ratios, and enrollment figures for every school in the state. The tool also allows users to compare two school districts and to get a listing of how every school or school district performed on the MAP. The Interactive School Guide can be found here.

The second tool, Missouri Teacher Salaries, allows users to search by school and get a listing of how much every teacher and central office employee is paid. It can be found here.

If you need more detailed data then you have to go through DESE.

It shouldn’t be this difficult to find the information about individual schools on the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE) website. Here is the direct link to DESE’s school performance data. Click on the image below to see a printable guide of how to access school performance data from their homepage.
