On April 11th, five Missouri legislators visited Lutheran North Middle and High School for a special tour led by school leader Dr. Brackman. Lutheran North is a diverse private school nestled in North St. Louis County, and serves students who are passionate about learning and eager to be challenged. Through their “Achieve. Believe. Belong.” motto, students graduate prepared and are offered millions of dollars in scholarships and grants each year for their excellence in academics, athletics, fine arts and other special talents.
The tour gave lawmakers a firsthand look at how access to high quality private education is made possible by programs like the MOScholars K-12 scholarship and the school’s generous financial assistance is transforming lives in the community.
Five elected officials from the Missouri State Capitol participated in the tour:
The visit began with introductions and was followed by a guided tour led by Dr. Brackman, showcasing the school’s rich academic and faith-based environment. Legislators explored the campus, visited classrooms, and interacted with students to see the vibrant learning culture. A particularly meaningful part of the visit was attending chapel, where the guests joined students and staff in prayer, highlighting the school’s commitment to spiritual growth alongside academic excellence.
Lutheran North offers a wide range of academic programs and extracurricular activities designed to prepare students for college and lifelong success.
When elected officials asked why students chose Lutheran North, one student explained, “My mom and I chose this school because of the curriculum and how it gets you college-ready.” Another powerful moment came when legislators asked where students planned to attend college each one confidently named their future school, a clear reflection of how well Lutheran North prepares students for college and beyond.
A special highlight of the tour was a surprise visit from Antonio Doyle, a 2020 Lutheran North graduate is an aspiring NFL draft pick. He spoke with students about the importance of education, trusting God, and staying focused. His message was uplifting and powerful he even signed shirts for students, leaving them motivated and inspired.
The tour left a lasting impression on everyone. Lutheran North is not just educating students, it’s helping them live their dreams, thrive in their passions, and succeed both academically and personally. From engaging classes to hands-on learning experiences, the school offers a supportive environment where each student is encouraged and empowered to reach their full potential. With dedicated educators and a focus on preparing students for life beyond high school, Lutheran North is shaping the next generation of leaders who are ready to make a lasting impact.
