
The CEAM Team did some digging and found a few family-friendly events you can do this weekend (June 13 & 14, 2026) with your family and friends in St. Louis, Kansas City and Springfield. Please check the links for the latest details. Some links are for Facebook event listing that require a Facebook account to view.

Kansas City Area Family Events – Saturday, June 13, 2026
(All Ages): Experience live music, dancing, storytelling, and interactive gallery activities at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. This full-day cultural event is an excellent mix of education and vibrant entertainment. It runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
(Ages 4–18): Check out the soccer fun at Crown Center of Summer area.It features free interactive soccer games, skill challenges, and play zones perfect for energetic kids and teenagers. Open daily from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Read, Roar, Score! Summer Reading Party
(Best for Ages 4–12): Enjoy a free community celebration packed with activities, games, food, and a free book giveaway for young readers at the Kansas City Public Library: North-East Branch. The party starts at 12:00 PM.
Kansas City Area Family Events – Sunday, June 14, 2026
(All Ages): Do not miss this massive, free festival at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. It showcases incredible youth performance groups on world-class stages and offers hands-on arts activities. Teens and younger kids alike will love the talent and energy. It runs from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. (RSVP online in advance).
(Best for Ages 4–14): Explore the vast collection of antique toys, complex target games, and hyper-detailed scale miniatures with free admission at the National Museum of Toys and Miniatures. The museum is open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
St. Louis Area Events – Friday, June 12, 2026
Family Nights in Brentwood Park
Family Nights at Brentwood Park, sponsored by West Community Credit Union, are on select evenings this summer for even more fun in the park, featuring local food trucks, refreshing drinks, live music, and free entertainment for all ages. Food trucks and activities begin at 5:30 PM, with featured music acts taking the stage at 7:00 PM. Come explore the park, visit the newest playground, and grab your lawn chairs for a night of free summer fun and music!
St. Louis Area Events – Saturday, June 13, 2026
Baby Rave @ Metro Theater Company
Bring children ages 1 to 4 to this morning dance party featuring Spin Society DJs. It’s a fun, sensory-friendly environment complete with snacks and good vibes. Tickets are $15 for a family pass to the Baby Rave @ Metro Theater Company with Spin Society DJs.
Cave Guide Corey stops by the Webster Groves Public Library to explore the underground world of Missouri with stories, videos, and a Q&A session All About Caves! with Cave Guide Corey. [1]
Join the Child and Family Empowerment Center for a free lunch, grocery distribution, health and wellness information, as well as family activities like bounce houses, bubble machines, and a play space.

Purina Incredible Dog Team at Union Station
If your near downtown St. Louis on Sunday, there are two free shows on Sunday at 11:00 AM and 1PM. Check out Union Station and get an up close look at the amazing team of dogs from Purina.
Springfield Area Events – Saturday, June 13, 2026
Bring blankets or lawn chairs to the Nathanael Greene / Close Memorial Park for a free outdoor screening of Zootopia 2. The movie starts at dusk and is a perfect casual night out for all ages.
Live Music at Farmers Market of the Ozarks (Free entry)
Check out the visiting musicians from Mexico, Grupo Canela, at the Farmers Market of the Ozarks starting at 9:00 AM. Teens and kids can enjoy a high-energy mix of salsa and cumbia while exploring local vendor stalls.
Springfield Area Events – Sunday, June 14, 2026
Perfect for kids and teens who love movies and crafts. Head over to The Library Station at 2:00 PM to watch a movie, munch on free popcorn, and complete a take-home craft project with all materials provided.
If your teens or older kids appreciate classic rock, catch the band Act 3 at The Library Center at 2:00 PM. They perform acoustic covers of bands like The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, and Heart in a relaxed, air-conditioned indoor auditorium.
